Secret Mission in Terravilla

The Alpha Glitcher, after the disappearance of Groos (elite rank Glitcher of the advanced squad) shortly after completing his mission reporting on the power pixels in Terravilla, considered him a very important resource for the exploration squad. He decided to send several Glitchers in search of him to Terravilla, using all the data Groos had collected about the city and its inhabitants. After gathering the explorers, Orion and Aiden were the first to volunteer, as they empathized with Groos, who had been in charge of training them during the early days of their training as explorers. During the selection, our Alpha chose these two as the stealth team and some who could walk during the day, blending in with the crowd without attracting attention until they found Groos’s whereabouts.

Arrival in Terravilla

Upon their arrival, to the surprise of the Glitchers sent to investigate during the day, they were very well received in Terravilla. The inhabitants immediately sympathized upon seeing a young group of a new species they had never seen before. Amazed by their strange anatomy, they were far from unnoticed. They commented that they were just passing through and came from a very distant land without mentioning their motives. After the first impressions, they ended up acting normally and staying in a speck like any other living being in the city, discreetly investigating the whereabouts of their superior. Aiden and Orion feared that the others were getting used to life in Terravilla after their first interactions on the surface, reminding them of their objective, their mission. After exhausting hours of searches and reports to the Alpha, they narrowed down the search areas. Orion and Aiden, who were closest to Groos due to their talent and the raids they had shared together, thought about what could have happened to Groos before losing communication with all of them. Aiden, having a hunch and sharing a secret with Groos, remembered that he had mentioned some strange life forms that the inhabitants called “pets” in Terravilla and that he would surely love them if he ever saw them. He did not share this with the others so only Aiden knew about Groos’s inclination towards the creatures he talked about. Aiden suggested to Orion to split up during the search and went to the place where there were more pets together (the park before reaching the carnival). There he found a message from Groos engraved on a bench saying, “If you ever find this, my favorite is the one with blue feathers and tell the others they are not food.” Aiden ended up smiling and proceeded to report to the team indicating he had found a clue and suggested focusing the search on the carnival. After passing through the forests deepening the search, they found one of their trackers apparently damaged. When they communicated the find, the Alpha Glitcher revealed that these trackers were programmed with a hologram system that served to inform after long periods of raids as they recorded everything the explorer saw, thus facilitating the reports. The squad specialist was restoring it to activate the hologram but warned that it would take a while since she did not have the necessary tools and did not know if she could create them with the materials available in Terravilla. Therefore, she asked them to enjoy their stay while she got to work.

The hologram is activated

After activating the hologram, everyone was amazed to see a side of their superior they had never known. Groos interacted with a corruption that was created by trying to manipulate an infinity portal created from the power pixels exploring the borders of the carnival. What came out of there was a different kind of pet. He immediately knew it did not belong there but did not hesitate to put it under his care despite it possibly hindering his espionage mission. They spent days together as companions. Groos was very attached to this life form and tried to return it to its home. He returned to the place where he found it to let it go despite the attachment he felt towards it. She, unwilling to leave him, would not let go. Groos activated the infinity portal, releasing the same radiation that accidentally leaked out, deducing that this was the cause of the portal’s corruption and what brought this creature to this side. Evidently, it worked. “Groos was always a genius,” his companions said after watching the recording. But suddenly everyone changed their expression to concern. The creature, refusing to leave its companion, launched a kind of whip made of branches wrapping around Groos as if it were a hug. Groos, smiling, only said, “You want me to go with you, don’t you? Okay, but I must leave one last report to my species and the only way to communicate with me again too.” After saying that, he dropped his tracker and was dragged through the portal.

Days after learning about the event

They took the situation with calmness, as they were trained to do. After the reports and slight concerns, they heard a very familiar voice on the tracker. Everyone approached, and to their surprise, it was Groos. “Hey, is anyone there?” Aiden responded quickly: “Groos? We are here.” Groos, excited to hear from the guys he once shared experiences with during their raids, after a long and emotional conversation, returned to their roles. Groos commented on his discovery of a place different from the world they inhabited, saying he had not tried to return and that there seemed to be no way as it apparently was another universe, but he did not dislike the idea of continuing his service reporting about his experience in the city of Yorokobi Town, belonging to “Spellborne.” They all automatically rejected those comments their superior had just made, but it was the first time they saw him happy after all his time of service. On the other hand, he indicated that he had a request for the Alpha. After all his reports about Terravilla, belonging to the same universe as the Glitchers, he made it clear that the best place for the explorers and the rest of the civilization outside the caves would be with the people who live there and that any Glitcher who approached, regardless of their abilities, would be safe in Terravilla. The Alpha, fully agreeing with Groos’s opinion, said he would respect his decision to stay in Spellborne as long as he kept in touch. On the other hand, he allowed all those he sent to Terravilla to start a life there, leaving behind their life as explorers. He only asked Orion and Aiden to return as the special duo they were to protect the civilians in future movements, assuming that soon everything they knew would change forever and he would need those two to guide them.

A promising coexistence

Thus began the coexistence in the most diplomatic way possible between the Grain Glitchers and all the citizens of Terravilla, leaving the civilization on high with distinctive achievements such as starting cultural groups. For example, the emerging rock band among them, “The Whispers,” which has had success in their various tours around the world and is highly acclaimed by their fans in Terravilla. They have many new talents to present and different events to hold. The Glitchers ended up evolving in a wonderful and fun way of living within pixels, leaving much to observe in the coming months.
